OPT4College is a pilot research study, within which an online curriculum was designed to facilitate the process of applying to colleges for children with disabilities and/or special healthcare needs. It is our hope that through the success of this project, the curriculum will eventually be beneficial for ALL students in the college application process. For this project we are actively recruiting high school students with disabilities and/or special healthcare needs.

OPT4College’s goal is to recruit students with special health care needs and disabilities (from asthma to diabetes to visually impaired) ages 15-18, specifically sophomores and juniors. They will utilize an online curriculum that gives a step by step guide on how to get to college, from the application to the request for accommodation when accepted. They curriculum is broken into 6 sections.
